IHBT is an intensive, time-limited behavioral health service for youth with serious emotional disabilities and their families. It is provided in the home, school, and community where the youth lives with the goal of stabilizing behavioral health concerns and safely maintaining the youth in the least restrictive, most normative environment.
This is a 3-part series that can be attended in any order. Orientation & Phase 1 focuses on the main components of the IHBT high-fidelity model along with the key techniques and strategies utilized to engage families and complete multidimensional assessments.
Phase 2 focuses on resiliency orientation and applications to increase skills, improve relationships, and enhance social support networks.
Phase 3 & Special Topics focuses on multisystem collaboration, family team meetings, and case closings with empowerment and celebration.
Additionally, a variety of issues unique to IHBT are presented including strategies to support the workforce and unique topics to home-based family treatment. This is an excellent orientation for administrators and program managers, and a must-have start up training for new programs and new workers.
