SOC Best Practices | IHBT Basics – Orientation and Phase 1

IHBT is an intensive, time-limited behavioral health service for youth with serious emotional disabilities & their families. It is provided in the home, school, & community where the youth lives with the goal of stabilizing behavioral health concerns & safely maintaining the youth in the least restrictive, most normative environment. This is a 3-part series that can be attended in any order. Orientation & Phase 1 focuses on the main components of the IHBT high-fidelity model along with the key techniques & strategies utilized to engage families & complete multidimensional assessments. Phase 2 focuses on resiliency orientation and applications to increase skills, improve relationships, & enhance their social support network. Phase 3 & Special Topics focuses on multisystem collaboration, family team meetings, & case closings with empowerment & celebration. Additionally, a variety of issues unique to IHBT are presented, strategies to support the workforce, adaptations, & unique topics to home-based family treatment. Wraparound SoC | Practice Pillars STRENGTHS Training

One of the critical practice pillars found in Wraparound is the discovery and application of strengths in bringing together teams and crafting individualized plans with families. Participants in this session will explore the development and application of an inventory of strengths to be used in the care planning process. Practice patterns that support the discovery, documentation, and dissemination of strengths will be examined and practiced. A framework for understanding strengths in a detailed way will be explored in order to support participants to do this work well in the field.
